BUT WHY?

Unlike most conventional wellness or beauty companies whose common practices you’re more accustomed to, we move differently. As wellness innovators, our goal is to eliminate the need for returns altogether by putting your SAFETY first and QUALITY only second to safety. Then, to look after our earth—of which we are all residents and stewards—via ECO-RESPONSIBILITY.

YOUR SAFETY

In terms of safety and because of our personal values, we go the extra mile to ensure the highest levels possible while educating you on what you’re really getting. We do this to give you the ability to make an educated decision regarding your purchase, prior to.

 

Therefore, ALL of our formulas meet or exceed the following safety criterion…

 

THE OIEMÏ STANDARD

All of our products strictly adhere to the OIEMÏ (Only If Earth Made It™) Standard. Scientifically, nearly everything applied to the skin topically can be transdermally absorbed or "consumed" by our pores. Therefore, our topical formulas aim to nourish your pores by using only BioDermally-Compatible™ OIEMÏ ingredients (natural fruits, herbs, flowers, resins, minerals, etc.)–concepts we are proud to be the authentic innovators of.

 

VEGAN

We avoid any known animal interactions in the production of our products, from ingredients to materials to marketing and seek effective alternatives(1) when necessary.

 

CRUELTY-FREE

All of our products are tested exclusively on humans only, never animals. We value verbal human feedback(2) which may use to make improvements, if needed.

 

TOXIN-FREE

Most conventional topical and personal care products contain thousands of man-made chemicals (stabilizers, perfumes, preservatives, dyes, etc.) from economical synthetic sources designed for mass-production to millions.

 

As a boutique brand catering to a niche wellness demographic, we are able to invest exclusively in OIEMÏ ingredients and BAN the most common cosmetic toxins and potentially harmful ingredients that are found in big box retailers. View list HERE.

 

COMMON ALLERGEN-FREE

To help avoid encounters with sensitivities, allergen reactions or the possibility of on-contact skin irritation, all of our products list potential allergens in the product description details. However, all OIEMÏ products are always free of the top 10 most common allergens:

  1. wheat and gluten

  2. soybean or soybean oil

  3. peanuts or peanut oil

  4. sesame or sesame oil

  5. corn (including sugars and starches)

  6. shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab, etc.)

  7. all dairy (milk, eggs, cream, etc.)

  8. artificial or insect-derived dyes

  9. synthetic perfumes

  10. petrol-chemicals (mineral oil, etc.)

OUR QUALITY

CREDENTIALS - All of our formulas are originally developed by a board-certified cosmetologist of 25+ years, an Ivy-trained medical ethnobotanist, and certified pharmacokineticist.  We don’t believe that simply being the parent of a child or a well-liked social media influencer offers qualifying credentials when it comes to addressing your vulnerable skin concerns.

 

CONTENTS - Over 80% of our ingredients are organic, Non-GMO, kosher, wild-crafted and foraged or are rare, in-house made plant extracts from the finest botanical sources. Simply put, we don’t use any ingredients that we can’t touch with our bare hands (even though we always wear gloves) or taste, if not consume.

 

PACKAGING - Albeit pretty, we generally avoid plastic container packaging and exclusively house all of our clean OIEMÏ formulas in triple-sterilized UV-protective amber glass containers, air-sealed flexible metal (Mylar foil) or unbleached paper packets.(3) This helps to reduce and/or prevent potential container-chemical contamination while innately extending the quality and product self-life without PABA's or other questionable synthetic preservatives.

ECO-RESPONSIBILITY

Waste is a common issue in North America. As such, we strive to help curb preventable waste by over-educating our clients before their purchase to help prevent the need for returns which typically becomes waste.

 

We also offer minimal and 100% reusable, compostable or recyclable packaging (since day one) to help reduce the landfill-destined cosmetic packaging issue, offer all instructions and product info online and have always offered reusable containers before it became trendy! We also offer refills by request (for now) and enforce paperless communication.

 

While we can't control the actions of everyone, we can always make a difference through our brand ethos and personal actions to prevent waste and preserve earth’s precious resources!

1. Some of our premium kits include Veather™, a vegan leather alternative. Additionally, our wellness farm is organic and pesticide-free to promote a happy bee-welcoming environment.
